Perfume Types Perfume falls into fragrance categories Floral –These have strong overtones of floral fragrance and all ages can wear them and they can be worn for all occasions. Perfume Abbreviations/Jargon Perfume/Parfum - This contains the most fragrance and normally comes in a stopper bottle this has a 15-40% perfume lasts about 5-6 hours EDP-Eau de Parfum this has a 8-30% perfume lasts about 3-4 hours EDT-Eau de Toilette 4-10% perfume lasts about 2-4 hours EDC-Eau de Cologne 2-5% perfume lasts about 1-2 hours AS-Aftershave 2-10% perfume and lasts about 1-2 hours Advice for men eau de toilette is not to be used on the face just spray it on your neck and body Aftershave is for use on the face,Aftershave balm is a great alternative for men with sensitive or dry skin. Perfume testers-Testers are what you see on the department store perfume counters . Most of the fragrance houses produce testers to promote their products. Depending on the manufacturer, testers may come in a plain white or brown box, or no box at all. Testers may also come with or without a cap/lid. They may also have labelled /printed on them "Tester" or Demonstration". Since testers are made with exactly the same content as the retail boxed version, they are excellent value for money and very often save you £££s on the retail price
