The Guerlain story begins in 1828 when Pierre Francois Pascal Guerlain opened a boutique at 21 Rue de Ravioli,the business began with him importing products,but he really wanted to succeed and so began to sell beauty products and toilet waters that he created himself.In 1840 Chypre was born the first fragrance of it`s name and type,In 1853 came the beautiful Eau Imperiale which was created for Napoleon III wife Empress Eugenie,Soon Guerlain became the prefered perfumer for all the royal courts in Europe the rest is history.In the beginning this innotive, visionary man probably never realised that he had found a family dynasty of perfumers.
