Elizabeth Arden Born Florence Nightingale Graham and named after the British nursing pioneer,Florence Graham herself went on to be a pioneer in her own right,from humble beginnings helping out in a cosmetics shop and then as a partner in a beauty salon.In 1910 after the break up of her partnership a new name Elizabeth Arden and a beauty salon on Fifth Avenue was opened offering beauty products and cosmetics formulated and manufactured by herself under the name 'Elizabeth Arden'. Elizabeth Arden being an innotive lady changed the face of American beauty at a time when make-up was only worn on stage,by introducing rouge and tinted powders.Her first fragrance Blue Grass was lauched in 1934 and was a great success.After her death the company focused more on fragrances and the signature one being ' Red Door' named after their day spas which are called "Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salons".Elizabeth Arden created her own empire,her spirit,innovation,eye for quality and excellence show in the great products and timeless fragrances produced by the company today.
